SAGCD President Alan A. Robb’s New Year’s Message for 2025
To the Men and Women of the ILA,
As we close out this year and look ahead to 2025, I want to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation to each of you. Your unwavering support during these hard-fought contract negotiations with USMX has been nothing short of inspiring.
As you know, the current extension to our agreement expires on January 15. While we have fought tirelessly at the bargaining table, the fight may not be over. If we do not reach a deal by that date, everything we’ve worked so hard to achieve will be off the table. Now, more than ever, we must stand united in this battle against automation and job loss.
I want to personally thank you for standing strong with ILA leadership throughout this process. Your resolve and solidarity are the backbone of our union, and I cannot emphasize enough how much that means to me and all of the District and International officers.
I am confident that if we continue to stand together, 2025 will be our best year yet. Let’s remain focused, strong, and committed to protecting our jobs, our families, and our future.
Wishing you and your loved ones a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.
In Solidarity,
Alan Robb
President, ILA South Atlantic and Gulf Coast District
