Ida Relief Fund New Orleans
Dear ILA Friends:
As you know Hurricane Ida hit the New Orleans Louisiana area with devastating force. Our brothers and sisters in the New Orleans area were particularly affected with significant and catastrophic damage to the area. As you know, electricity and water systems are down in much of the area. The Port will be out of commission for weeks. Many of you have expressed an interest in assisting our ILA community in the New Orleans area.
Because of the logistics involved, the most efficient and beneficial way of supporting them is sending checks to the District. We will arrange the purchase of necessary equipment such as generators and tarps and deliver it to New Orleans ILA for those in need. Depending on how much is raised will depend on what we are able to deliver. If your group can contribute, please make the check payable to South Atlantic Gulf Coast District ILA and note the memo as “New Orleans ILA Relief”.
If you have any questions, please call the District office. Take care and please stay vigilant in safeguarding from the pandemic.
Fraternally,
Alan A. Robb, President
