I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for everything that Jimmy has done to help our members with questions and concerns.  For me personally, I would also like to thank him for helping me when I was denied benefits. He spoke on my situation and everything was over turned.  I feel blessed to know that there is someone in the ILA helping us with MILA, prescriptions, and even the drug / alcohol policy.

I have so much gratitude for Jimmy, the Healthcare Advocate for the South Atlantic Gulf Coast District. I came across Jimmy’s number when I went to my president and asked for help, and he gave me Jimmy’s number and I called. I was at a low point in my life.  Jimmy shared with me his experiences with Drugs and Alcohol and the recovery process.  From there, it was very easy to speak with him. He listened to what I had going on and made some recommendations and helped me begin my recovery process.  He walked me through the process that I would need to go through to get treatment. He answered the phone, no matter night or day, weekday or weekend, to answer any questions I had.  For that I am truly grateful that ILA SAGCD has someone like Jimmy who is made available to members like me who have no where to turn. We now have a person who we depend on and who will understand and listen.
