Victory Through Solidarity

Brothers and Sisters of the ILA,

It is with immense pride that I address you today, following the tentative resolution of the strike we initiated on October 1. Our demands were clear: protections against automation, and wages and benefits that reflect what we truly deserve. Over the past several days, your solidarity has been nothing short of remarkable. The camaraderie among us was inspiring, and it reminds me yet again that there is nothing like the strength and unity of the ILA family.

To the men and women who stood strong on the picket line, I commend you for your unwavering commitment, dedication, and hard work. We showed the world that we do not back down when it comes to fighting for what is right. Together, we secured a fair and equitable tentative agreement—an achievement we should all be proud of.

I want to extend a special thanks to Harold and Dennis Daggett. Your leadership and the skillful way you navigated these negotiations was truly phenomenal. ILA members across the country are cheering you on, recognizing the hard work and perseverance you both poured into securing this historic agreement. This won’t just be the best labor agreement the ILA has ever had—it’s arguably will be the greatest labor agreement in the history of U.S. labor unions.

To our members, God bless you for what you do every day. Your hard work makes the ILA the greatest union in the United States. God bless this great union, and God bless America.

Alan Robb, ILA SAGCD President
