Wednesday, November 28, 2018 – Day 1 of the two day ILA – South Atlantic & Gulf Coast District Educational Seminar was held at the San Luis Hotel in Galveston, Texas. The seminar kicked off with a great start thanks to four exceptional speakers. Paula M. Bruner of the Robein, Urann, Spencer, Picard & Cangemi law firm in New Orleans, LA provided guidance to attendees on preparing for Department of Labor audits. Joe Bontke, Outreach and Educational Coordinator for the Houston District Office EEOC, spoke on civility in the workplace. Mike McMillion, motivational speaker from The McMillion Group in San Antonio, TX, focused on communication and working together to build a stronger membership. Day 1 was concluded with a presentation on fiduciary responsibility from Stuart Davidson of the Willig, Williams & Davidson law firm in Philadelphia, PA.
Seminar attendees received a wealth of information beneficial to local operations. We look forward to a successful Day 2 of the educational seminar.
